A palestra de Penny Ur fechou o evento TESOL2008 no sábado, dia 5 de abril. Concluiu sua palestra de forma polêmica, afirmando:
1. Students are overwhelmingly in favour of being corrected.
2. They prefer explicit correction and explanation
3. They do not like being corrected by peers
4. They appreciate the value of rewriting on the basis of corrections.
